Burg Nanstein in Landstuhl

While apartment hunting, William and I took a small break to hike up to Burg Nanstein in beautiful Landstuhl. Built in 1152, it was partially destroyed in 1689 and while repairs have been made on occasion, it remains in ruins.

If you want to visit yourself, you don’t necessarily need to hike up as there is parking. However, with a German pub at the top and the German Blood Alcohol Limit (BAC) for driving is about one beer (.05%), it might be a good idea to hike if you’re going to indulge.
